Au revoir, Paris The last post is always the hardest. Not infrequently, I let him fail. But not this time. This time, the holiday gets a fitting conclusion. And even if he should be very brief.
for return travel per se, there is not much to say. It ran quite smoothly and unspectacular. The check-in at Charles de Gaulle is not necessarily solved clearly, but the flight was on time, the luggage arrived, and what you want.

The plan had been to finally try that these bikes all are available for hire on the roadside and therefore a little ride to his along, in a restaurant in the no man's land behind the Bastille, which was to us highly recommended for lunch and then leisurely home to compete. Unfortunately the work by bike, because we are sure most would have to register before somewhere and the walk had to serve as a substitute, was very nice, but not necessarily short and we were probably not necessarily the most direct way to the restaurant.
This had, however, the great advantage that we finally passed a bakery that was labeled exemplary.
Paris in August is in fact rather quiet, because so many Parisians the open and, consequently, many shops are closed. The restaurant was in our view, but then almost at the end of the world. The longer we ran, the louder the doubts whether the road would probably pay at all and whether it might not have even closed. When we actually arrived, we had been then already served almost impossible. At least we were greeted by the very nice waiter - it was the way, very funny, as I am struggling with my tiny Französischbröckchen tried to make themselves understood - so tell us they would close it in three quarters of an hour. Luckily, that did not mind at all but and we got such a delicious lunch that I still enjoy the water in his mouth running together, just thinking about it. The Pavé on celery and artichokes was determined by the tuna (we were there not agreed and stood on the card if I remember correctly only paved, which actually means just a big piece of something, as I found out only now in hindsight - KT chérie, you can me, please the photo to send it, then I add it here) where I was - oh yes, this paved, wonderful glassy and just incredibly delicious, the wine we were perfectly chosen for this and the profiteroles on the lemon-vanilla-Gries-au Sößchen were net grad bad. So a perfect end to the culinary journey. Back then we were for time reasons but for safety's sake the Metro.
Yes, this was also the homecoming, there were no nasty surprises of their own homes, so you can evaluate the home exchange as an absolute success. Somehow I hope now that Mrs B is planning a big family and still give many more exchange opportunities ....
